RIOT in Penn Quarter!!

Last night I got to check out DC’s newest laugh factory, Riot Act Comedy Club in Penn Quarter! I wrote the post below about its fabulous Grand Opening Party for K Street Kate , but as always, I wanted to post it here as well! You can also see pictures on Chocolate & Stiletto’s Facebook page! (Be sure to “Like” the page while you’re there!)

Overall, I loved Riot Act – great venue and the food and drinks are much better than you normally get at comedy clubs.  The space also seems like it would be awesome to rent out for a party or event! I definitely recommend going out and getting your laugh on! Added Bonus: For the next 4 days, The Capital Deal has 2 tickets to a show of your choice for $17 (normally $40). Happy Laughing! xo – KC

Riots in London?  Soooo not funny.  DC’s new Riot Act Comedy Theater opening?  A hilarious happening.

On Wednesday night, a crowd of DC’s favorite fun lovers hit Penn Quarter to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Riot Act Comedy Theater. Attracting such local VIPs as WJLA’s Arch Campbell, Pink Line Project’s Philippa Hughes, and Fox 5’s Tony Perkins to get a first look at the town’s newest laugh factory, the opening night not only featured a sneak peak of the venue and samples from the theater menu… but also side stitching comedy.

With DC Legend, Arch Campbell!

Guests laughed out loud to DC’s own Charles Fleischer (scheduled to headline opening week!), Big Al Goodwin, and local King of Comedy Tony Woods while looking forward to the club’s future theme nights, weekly open mics and School of Comedy classes.

Funny Man Big Al Goodwin

This Riot Act is only setting the funny on fire.
