Friday Roundup: The Olympics, Hot Dogs, and New Summer Reads

The weekend is upon us and that means you need fun things to do. Enjoy your Friday Roundup!

Go for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze at Lincoln with their Olympic themed cocktails. Celebrate the games and have one of each!

Celebrate #London2012 at Johnny’s Half Shell and cheer on Team USA while enjoying a variety of British-inspired pub snacks throughout the games. Watch your favorite athletes on their 1,000-sqaure-foot patio while enjoying British favorites such as Cucumber sandwiches; Scotch egg with zesty grain mustard sauce; Cheddar and stout Welsh rarebit on rye toast; Beer battered fish with chips and malt vinegar, and more. Pub snacks are just $2.50 each, and are available nightly exclusively on the patio from 4:30 PM until closing.

Enjoy the Dog Days of Summer at Bourbon Steak and get an off-menu Red Apron Butchery hot dog and pint of Port City beer for $9 Sunday through Thursday throughout the month of August.

Emily Giffin’s New Book Where We Belong is now on sale. The Something Borrowed writer hit Georgetown’s Urban Chic (a favorite of mine), earlier this week to promote and sign copies of her new book alongside a darling tea party set up by Petite Social. Makes for some fabulous pool-side reading. Available at

If harsh UV Rays aren’t your thing but looking fabulous is, check out Fit to be Tan to take advantage of their organic airbrush tanning. For the month of August, two tans are just $79 and extender lotions are 20% off. Locations in Arlington and DC.
