Chef José Andrés, perhaps DC’s most popular chef and the man behind restaurants like Jaleo, Oyamel, and Zaytinya, is celebrating another culinary icon, James Beard, through a unique fundraising benefit held at the Round House Theatre and Andres’ Jaleo restaurant in Bethesda, Maryland.
On October 28th guests are invited to an afternoon matinee of the James Beard biographical play
I Love to Eat at the Round House Theatre followed by a special dinner hosted by José Andrés and
Susan Ungaro at Jaleo in Bethesda, MD. The menu, specially created by Andrés and his culinary team, will include highlights from all of Andrés’ Washington-area restaurants for an unforgettable culinary celebration. The matinee and dinner benefit package is available for $225. Proceeds of the benefit will be donated to the James Beard Foundation in support of their scholarship program.
Package tickets ($225) are not available online, but rather by calling the Round House Theatre box office at (240) 644-1100, weekdays from 12pm-5pm. Dinner can be purchased without theater tickets for $170 by calling Jaleo Bethesda at (301) 913-0003 or emailing RSVP@jaleo.com.
