Celebrate the Holidays…Deliciously!

With exactly two weeks left until Christmas, I thought it might be fun to highlight the delicious ways some of my favorite local spots are celebrating the holidays!  Take a look below and be sure to let me know how you’re celebrating the holiday season in the comments section.  Happy Holidays!

Dolcezza Holiday Gelatos: Who says gelato is just for the summer time?  Beginning this week, artisanal, gelato shop Dolcezza will be featuring three limited-time, holiday gelatos of Ginger Cardamom Pistachio, Eggnog, and King Leo Peppermint.

The 25 Days of Cocktails at Bibiana: One of my favorite restaurants for dinner is now home to some of my favorite drinks as well! Beverage Director Michael King has created 25 new seasonally inspired drinks as a countdown to December 25th and the merrymaking holidays. Among the 25 cocktails: the Vin Brule served warm and made with mulled wine and spices, the Hazelnut Old Fashioned, made with Hazelnut infused Filibuster bourbon, orange and cherry , the bubbly Café Corrector with Prosecco Grappa, espresso and lemon air, and for the young at heart , the Hot Chocolate with Cognac and House-made Cardamom marshmallow. Yum!

Christmas Orange at Jaleo: Looking for something that doesn’t taste like gingerbread this season? Head to Jaleo and celebrate the Spanish Clementine Season.  Beginning today through December 23rd, Jose Andres’ famous restaurant will be celebrating the seasonality of Spain’s favorite fruit (which peaks in December – hence the term “Christmas Orange”) with special tapas and cocktails incorporating this prized harvest.  Check out the menu here!

Salt & Sundry Holiday Pop-Up: One of my all-time favorite food writers, Amanda McClements (aka Metrocurean), will bring to life her passion for stylish entertaining in her new boutique, Salt & Sundry, at Union Market. This exclusive holiday pop-up shop will give savvy shoppers a preview of McClements’ Southern sensibility as it relates to the home, the table, and stylish entertaining.
